We believe in being completely open about how we work and where your support goes. Below are answers to the most common questions about our mission to help children and families in Haiti and the Dominican Republic through education, nutrition, and faith.
For $20 a month, you can provide a child with a Christian education and the essential resources they need to thrive. We will match you with a specific child, and you are welcome to request a boy or a girl to help make your connection feel more personal.
We take your trust seriously. 90% of every donation goes directly to our work on the ground, including school operations and community support. The remaining 10% covers the basic administrative costs that keep our organization running effectively.
While we appreciate the gesture, the mail service in Haiti is very unreliable. To ensure your gift actually reaches its destination, we recommend sending a monetary donation instead. We can transfer these funds and put them to use for the child’s needs within a matter of hours.
Yes. Helping Hands With Love, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Just let us know if you need one, and we will provide a formal letter detailing your donations for your IRS tax records.
Every gift makes a tangible difference. For example, $120 provides a student’s breakfast for an entire school year, $45 covers a teacher's salary for one month, and $300 provides microloans to help five people launch small businesses and work toward financial independence.
We definitely encourage you to send encouraging words to the child you support. You can send your letters to our official email address, and we will make sure your message of hope and love is shared directly with them.
