Our mission in action

Building Schools Where Every Child Thrives

We work in Haiti and the Dominican Republic to give children the quality education and spiritual foundation they need to grow in Christ.

Five young children are sitting at a long wooden bench in a classroom, focused on coloring on individual pieces of paper. The setting appears to be a school or community center with a dirt floor and simple wooden furniture. The children are wearing various outfits, including some school uniforms. The overall mood is one of quiet concentration and learning.

Nourishing future leaders

Healthy Meals and Safe Learning Environments

Your support provides a daily breakfast and a secure classroom, giving students the strength and focus they need to reach their full potential.

A girl in a light blue t-shirt and plaid skirt is looking towards the camera, while a boy next to her holds a red book. Other students in colorful shirts are seated nearby. The setting appears to be a school in a developing region.

Years of Dedication

Built on love and service

Driven by Faith and Integrity

Joseph and Josephine Maitre began this work in 2003 with a simple goal: helping schools in Haiti. Today, we are a formal non-profit guided by a board of medical and professional experts, providing education, nutrition, and spiritual care across Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We take stewardship seriously, ensuring 90% of every gift goes directly to those we serve.

The lighting is natural and bright, suggesting an outdoor daylight setting. The composition is off-center, with the boy on the right side of the frame.

How We Serve the Kingdom

We believe in being the hands and feet of Christ by serving children and families in the remote villages of Haiti and the rural Bateys of the Dominican Republic. Our mission is to provide more than just temporary relief. We are committed to long term spiritual and educational growth. We work as a unified team to build better schools, safer homes, and brighter futures for those who have faced incredible challenges.

A rural building, likely a church, constructed from corrugated metal sheets and timber framing under a gabled roof. A sign on the exterior reads 'Eglise EV Baptiste de Sion'. Several people are visible inside the shaded interior through the open doorway. The building is surrounded by lush green trees and dirt ground, with a clear blue sky above. A motorcycle is partially visible in the bottom left corner. The overall atmosphere is humble and communal, captured in bright daylight.

Schooling and Daily Meals

A strong start for every child

At l'Eglise Baptiste de Sion Elementary School in Saint Louis du Nord, we make sure students have what they need to succeed. We provide healthy breakfasts so kids can focus on learning rather than hunger, and we help pay teacher salaries so our local educators can continue their vital work without financial worry.

$120 covers a student's breakfast for an entire school year.

She is wearing a vibrant lime green jacket with large black buttons and an ornate black pillbox-style hat decorated with gold-toned studs. She is posed with one hand resting on her chin and the other supporting her elbow, showcasing a gold watch and ring. The setting is a clean, bright white studio background, creating a professional and uplifting mood.

Small Business Loans

Helping families help themselves

We believe in the dignity of hard work. Through our microloan program, we provide the startup capital families need to open small shops or start selling goods. These loans help people become self-sufficient, and as they are repaid over the course of a year, that same money is used to help the next family get their start.

With a $300 microloan, we can help five different people start their own small businesses.

Above the text is an illustration of an open book, and at the bottom, there is a decorative horizontal divider line. The silver spiral binding is visible on the left edge.

Books and Worship Music

Resources for your spiritual walk

Our founders have created books and gospel music to share the Word of God and support our mission. Every cent made from books like 'Voodoo: Is it a Religion?' and albums by Evangelist Josephine C. Marcellin goes directly into our schools and church buildings. These resources are here to strengthen your faith while funding God's work.

If you are called to work in the grapevine of our Lord Jesus Christ, these resources will be a great help to you.
